Kern County Fair

The Kern County Fairgrounds in bakersfield, CA was established at its current site in the early 1950ís to showcase the countyís largest annual event. The 168-acre site is beautifully landscaped, filled with trees guaranteed to shade on the hottest day. The fairgrounds are just minutes from downtown Bakersfield and convenient to several hotels.
Buildings and Grounds can accommodate small parties for 50, a square dance for 500, an outdoor extravaganza for more than 3,000, and our grandstand can accommodate up to 3,000 for concerts and 3,700 for rodeos. A spacious carnival lot, grandstand, theater and horse show arenas are ideal settings for outdoor events such as dog shows, sports shows and family reunions.
The four buildings on site are no less charming for their four walls. Wedding receptions, RV rallies, garden expos, seminars and trade shows can be housed in one of several spacious rooms.

Directions:
From Hwy 99 North or South – Take the Ming Avenue Exit. Turn left and go east 1 1/2 miles to P Street
From Interstate 5 S – Take the Stockdale Hwy exit. Go east for 17 miles. Stockdale Highway turns into Brundage Lane at Hwy 99.Continue 1 1/2 miles to P Street.
From Interstate 5 N (From Los Angeles/San Diego) – Take Hwy 99 off the Grapevine to the Ming Avenue Exit. Turn left and go east 1 1/2 miles to P Street
From Hwy 58 West – Take the Union Avenue exit. Turn left off exit ramp. At Union Street and turn left.
